Keeping you in-the-know on environmental, social and governance developments

Companies face a tough reality at the moment: achieving climate commitments made years ago is proving more difficult and expensive than expected – especially at a time when the climate has become highly politicized and the efficacy of corporate actions is questioned more than ever.  As a result, some organizations are modifying their climate commitments, goals and targets – or abandoning them altogether.

Knowing which companies have done this – and what specifically they are doing – can be valuable intelligence, yet time consuming to find and sift through. Based on member feedback, we have added a new Subject Area called “Companies Changing ESG Commitments” under which we will post announcements from companies involving matters like:

  • changes in interim climate targets/dates
  • changes in final climate targets/dates
  • changes in use of carbon offsets
  • abandoning climate strategies, targets, goals or programs altogether

If you know any companies that we should add, please email me at lheim@ccrcorp.com.
